MAXT OUT 2024 REGISTRATION

Follow the link below to fill out your competition registration application, a confirmation email will be sent in 3-5 business days to confirm acceptance. Registration is not final until the FULL ROSTER and FULL PAYMENT is received. Partial payments and partial rosters will not be accepted. Payments can be sent via Zelle or check. 

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION : AUGUST 1st – AUGUST 29th

REGULAR REGISTRATION : SEPTEMBER 1st -OCTOBER 18th

LATE REGISTRATION : OCTOBER 19th -NOVEMBER 1st

  No applications will be accepted after November 1st. All team payments must be submitted via Zelle or Check no later than November 1st.

COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

DIVISIONS

ADULT DIVISION

[Intended for established dance crews / teams]

Minimum number of dancers = 15

Ages: 18+

Adult division teams may include minors on the roster.

JUNIOR DIVISION:

[Intended for established dance crews & high school teams]

Minimum number of dancers = 15

Ages: 18 and under

Junior division teams may NOT have adult dancers on the roster. 

CHOREOGRAPHER’S DIVISION

Maxt Out offers the ability for choreographers to compete with their creative talents in our Choreographer’s Division.

Dancers have the opportunity to present their own project in any style and compete against other choreographers.

Minimum = 15 dancers

Ages: ALL AGES

There is no limitation on the ages of either the choreographers or the dancers.

DANCER MINIMUM = All competitors must have a minimum of 15 dancers. Should a team have less than 15 dancers, a minimum payment of 15 dancers is still required.

5 minute maximum for all divisions

Routines will be scored in 5 categories – totaling 100 points:

○ Precision: 30 points technical

○ Fundamentals: 25 points technical

○ Dance/ Choreography: 25 points

○ Projection/Performance: 10 points

○ Creativity & Costume: 10 points

Judges will be split into two categories: Technical Merit and Artistic Merit.

Ties will be broken by the Precision score; should that score also be tied, it will be broken by the Dance/Choreography score.

Stage Dimensions are 32′ x 40′ of dance space. An indoor crossover is available directly behind the cyc.

MUSIC & CONTENT GUIDELINES

All music will be screened prior to the competition. Music MUST be free of profanity, curse words and explicit or sexual lyrics.

Music is subject to a 1 point penalization for EACH curse word, here is a list of the words you may not use any derivative: F**k,  A$$hole, B!tch, H*e, N!**a, C*nt, Who&e, Sh!t, P*$$y, P!$$, C*ck.

Thank you for understanding and we apologize for having to be so specific.

Videos/ music will have a 1 point deduction for every 10 seconds over the required time frame.

MUSIC SUBMISSION DUE DATES:

Music (5min MAX) is due by or before: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 1ST by 11:59PM PST

Email music (MP3 format) to: [email protected] . The title of your music track must be TEAMNAME-DIVISION. Ex: ASCENSION-ADULT

REGISTRATION FEES

Registration is not complete until FULL ROSTER AND PAYMENT is received. There are no refunds at any time.

Registration payments may be transferred from one dancer to another, this must be communicated and approved no later than Friday November 1st.

Dancers performing on multiple teams are required to pay the registration fee for EACH team. Dancers will be counted on stage to ensure the roster matches the number of performing dancers. Performances with more dancers than rostered are subject to deductions.

*Deadline for Regular registration ends on FRIDAY OCTOBER 18TH including full roster and tshirt sizes. Teams unable to provide all tshirt sizes by this day will forfeit their competition-provided tshirt.

REGISTRATION DUE DATES

$40 per dancer by Thursday, August 29th, 2024, 11:59PM PST

REGULAR REGISTRATION:

$45 per dancer by Friday, October 18th 2024, 11:59PM PST

$50 per dancer by Friday, November 1st 2024, 11:59PM PST

SHOWCASE DIVISION

To request to participate as a non-competing showcase team, please email [email protected] directly for information on dancer fees and minimums. Deadline to apply is Friday October 18th. [Please note the showcase division is considered an Invite-Only division and will fill quickly. We advise requests to be sent as early as possible.]
